    error 452 when scanning workgroup machine


      i'm getting "Error: 452 - Unable to connect to the remote machine." when scanning a workgroup computer. the shavlik console is domain win2008r2 and the client i'm trying to scan is workgroup win7. i have disabled firewalls (windows & symantec) from the 7 machine and these are checked as well:

      • Remote Registry service is running
      • Simple File Sharing is disabled
      • Server service is running
      • File and Print Sharing is enabled

      'test credentials' and 'test existence' works from vcenter protect console. i can also use the same credentials to "net use \ipaddressc$ /user:machinenameuser password" and open remote registry to the win7 machine from console machine's regedit.

      any ideas what could be causing this?
