We added a Software Distribution patch (AFP11-1152) for Adobe Flash Player 188.8.131.52.
We also added support (i.e. scan detection) for Adobe Flash 11 and Adobe Flash Player Plugin 11, which means that we will detect these products as installed (i.e. these will be indicated as 'Informational' items).
How do I deploy Flash 11 then?
Navigate to the 'Software Distribution' tab within a patch scan template, then select 'Software distribution', and save. Scanning a machine with this template will include 'Missing Patch' items for any of the supported Software Distribution items which are not currently installed (including AFP11-1152). You can select the desired 'Missing Patch' item and choose to deploy the selected patch.
We would strongly recommend that you do not select automatic deployment when performing a software distribution scan. For further details regarding patch scan filtering and software distribution, please see the built-in help menu, or visit our online documentation page located as follows:

When I scan a machine with Flash 10.3.183.10 installed, the scan results do not show Flash 11 as missing. Since the scan results do not show Flash 11 as missing, again I am wondering how I can install Flash 11?
Ensure that you have the latest data files downloaded (e.g. via the 'Help>Refresh files' menu option). You can verify the data file version by selecting 'Version Info.' from the 'Help>About Shavlik NetChk Protect' menu, then reviewing the 'Patch Assessment' version (currently this should be 184.108.40.2060). If you navigate to 'Patch View', and search by 'Bulletin ID', you should be able to locate a listing for 'AFP11-1152'.
Create a new patch scan template, navigate to the 'General' tab, and select 'Include effectively installed patches'. Next, navigate to the 'Software Distribution' tab, and select the 'Software distribution' box. Name and save the scan template. Scan the machine in question with the newly created template. Once the scan has completed, you should see AFP11-1152 listed as either a 'Effectively Installed', 'Patch Missing', or 'Patch Installed' item. If it is listed as a 'Patch Missing' item, you can select the patch and choose to deploy the selected patch.
