Are you able to connect to the machine's scheduler service via the Scheduled Task Manager? If so, is any information displayed under the 'Log' tab there?
By default, the Shavlik Remote Scheduler Service is used to schedule and handle deployments. The console communicates to this service via TCP 5120. If the console fails to connect to the scheduler service when deploying, it will attempt to use the Microsoft Task Scheduler.
Yes, I can query the machine's scheduled tasks with the Scheduled Tasks Manager, and view the log, which proves that port 5120 is open. I guess this is a minor issue, because I can view the log via the Scheduled Tasks Manager, just not in the Patch Results. I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot it if you like.
The 'Query Remote Log' link within a deployment result queries the target machines event log (Windows Application Log) for specific entries (i.e. search for event ID 8197). Results may vary depending upon numerous factors, but typically yield very limited information (e.g. 'Rebooting machine').
