This can vary depending upon both the version of NetChk Protect, and upon which credentials are failing to be decrypted. For versions 7.6x and versions 7.8x, you can run the following query against the Protect database (i.e. via Management Studio) to clear ALL of the stored default credentials (the credentials set via the 'Tools>Options' menu) for ALL users:
DELETE FROM credential where (type=6)
