Wireshark installability detection shows all machines need it?
Apr 7, 2011 10:40 PM
I was pleased to see Wireshark included in the SCUPDates catalog, however the detection logic
<bar:RegSzToVersion Key="HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" Subkey="SOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstallWireshark" Value="DisplayVersion" RegType32="true" Comparison="LessThan" Data="18.104.22.168" />
somehow makes it so almost all of our machines show it as Required in the search folder view of updates, and indeed if the update is deployed to machine without wireshark, it'll get it installed! Any advice on this one?
