I am building a custom patch process to install a customized version of Adobe Acrobat Reader X, the Japanese Font Pack, and the Spelling Dictionaries.
The Font Pack and Spelling Dictionaries require that the Reader be installed first.
I am using registry key detection to determine patch need, and have tried adding an "And Must Exist" file search for AcroRd32.exe to the two dependent patches. This didn't fix anything. All three files are detected missing and are installed in whatever order NetChk decides.
I understand NetChk allows specifying patch order for installation. Can patch installation order be set for custom patches? Or is there another way I ought to be doing this?
At this time when doing a deployment of a custom patch thre is not a way to order them. For this you would want to possibly compile your own executable which is then deployed. Or deploy the Acrobat insall first then deploy the other items at a later date.
You can make a feature request that goes to our devs for items to place in our newer versions if you would like.
