Could not establish trust relationship for patch downloads from a particular source

    software.manager Rookie

Hi I have patch for SCCM downloading from most source locations but one in particular is coming back with the error “the underlying connection was closed: could not establish trust relationship for SSL/TLS secure channel.”

the source location is anything from https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub

the certificate for the root server is fine and this is working for most sites, the logs just say error downloading file, is there anything else I can troubleshoot to find out what’s going on? Is there any chance the source no longer exists? As the http version of the site over the https is giving 404 errors

          Hello,

Thanks for posting your question.  It is entirely possible that the source no longer exists, but if you can still download the update from somewhere (maybe try copying that URL into a browser on your own machine, etc.), you can provide it in a local source folder and still publish/deploy if you need to, as outlined in this doc.

I would test the download elsewhere to determine whether the issue is with your SCCM server or the download site, and go from there.  If it is your console, you can supply any affected patches locally and still publish what you need to while you address the SCCM server's issues.  Let me know if that helps.

          Thanks,

          Brian
