I have changed scheduler credentials to logon user and scheduled task runs as expected.
Strange as the permission of previous credentials and the logon credentials are the same.
Can someone explain to me how scheduler credential works? It is still a little bit of mistery for me.
Thank you for posting your question. The scheduler credential is different than normal credentials in that it works with the Microsoft Task Scheduler rather than the client machines. Therefore, the scheduler credential needs to meet the following requirements:
- local adminstrator to the console (it does NOT have to have local administrator rights to the clients)
- currently logged on user on the console
- log on as batch rights on the console
This is discussed further in this document: Manual scans work, scheduled scans fail: Scheduler Credential
