4. Re: Ivanti Patch update to 9.3 'OS not supported' issue
S.Wolf May 3, 2017 10:31 AM (in response to cwinning)I can verify that I'm not running in compatibility mode. I had considered running it in compatibility to get it to install but thought that might be end up causing more trouble down the road.

cwinning May 3, 2017 10:41 AM (in response to S.Wolf)Hello,
Open %temp% and look for a log that starts with ProtectSetup_numbers.log. It may be up 1 folder when you navigate to %temp%. Can you zip and attach them to this post?

7. Re: Ivanti Patch update to 9.3 'OS not supported' issue
cwinning May 3, 2017 11:02 AM (in response to S.Wolf)Hello,
Looks like we are failing to detect if KB2919355 is installed. Is WMI enabled on this server? Can I get a screenshot of it from Services?
Thanks,
Charles

8. Re: Ivanti Patch update to 9.3 'OS not supported' issue
cwinning May 3, 2017 11:09 AM (in response to cwinning)Hello,
I know what the issue is, you don't' have Cumulative 1 installed on the OS. It seems installing it doesn't rev the version of Windows Installed.
You should scan the server with Protect, install all missing patches then look for CU1 as a missing Service Pack, install, reboot then try again.

9. Re: Ivanti Patch update to 9.3 'OS not supported' issue
S.Wolf May 3, 2017 11:10 AM (in response to cwinning)I was pretty sure that it was as we are getting WMI information according to our LanSweeper server but it was configured for manual. I've updated it to the settings below:
I've tried to run again and got another fail with the following log entry:

11. Re: Ivanti Patch update to 9.3 'OS not supported' issue
S.Wolf May 3, 2017 12:02 PM (in response to cwinning)It looks like that was it.. weird how Windows updates was showing no new updates, but now it shows 160 now that CU1 is on there.
Thanks for your assistance, now I get to push more updates and try out the new features.
Have a good one.

12. Re: Ivanti Patch update to 9.3 'OS not supported' issue
cwinning May 3, 2017 12:05 PM (in response to S.Wolf)Hello,
Thanks for the update, glad we could clear this up! (I've requested we give better feedback in our pre-req installer instead of the popup you saw) Hopefully in the next release.
Thanks.
