HEAT Software to Merge with LANDesk

Surprised no one has posted this yet? Any idea how it will affect Shavlik? Will it cease to be and just merge the tech into HEAT's PatchLink?

Shavlik was already promising changes in 2017, but wow.

Today, Clearlake Capital Group, our private equity firm, signed an agreement to purchase LANDESK from Thoma Bravo. As part of that deal, HEAT Software will merge with LANDESK. I want to take a few minutes to share why we are excited about this news and what it will mean to you as a customer.

At HEAT Software, we’re dedicated to providing you with solutions that make your business more efficient, compliant and secure. We help you to manage millions of service interactions and endpoints every day across your IT, HR, Facilities, Finance, Customer Service and other enterprise functions.

LANDESK shares a similar vision, and together, we will have resources and critical mass to speed up that process.

While there is some overlap in our portfolios, we see this as an opportunity to bring our customers the best of what each organization offers. We are still early in our integration plans, but please be assured that we will continue to take a customer-first approach in all we do. You can expect to continue to receive excellent support and service.

In the meantime, if you have questions and suggestions, or if you are already using or evaluating a combination of our solutions, please let us know. We’d love to hear your thoughts, or point you in the right direction to get the answers you need.

          Hello,

Integration planning is just beginning, but this is a great example of the opportunity we see to bring the best of our teams and offerings together.  For example, we’ve already invested in an architecture that lets us deliver common patch content to Shavlik and LANDESK Patch customers, regardless of which product they use. This gives us the flexibility to support customers who use our patch solutions in conjunction with SCCM or LDMS, as well as those who use our patch solutions stand-alone, with equally rich patch content, without duplicating content development efforts. Over time, we anticipate following a similar path with PatchLink, which will free up resources to allow us to continue to innovate.
