SQL Database Backup & Transaction Log

Currently every Sunday at 3:00 AM, I have my protect console's SQL database backed up and re-indexed. This is set up through Shavlik under Tools > Operations > Database Maintenance. When the backup runs, it stores on a separate drive on the server. It's size is about 2.5 to 3 GB.

I do not see any way in Shavlik to specify how long you can retain those backups. In the meantime, I created a script to remove those files right before a new backup is created for the beginning of the month to conserve space through Windows Task Scheduler. (del E:\SQLBackups /s /q)

I looked through a bunch of KB's but none specify if there is a way to do this through the console.

Submitted a feature request (RE-2941) for this.

Is there any way to do this without creating the task?
