It looks like this update is only available at an ftp site. Please make sure that you have ftp.adobe.com white-listed in your proxy or firewall as is mentioned here URL exception list for Shavlik Protect - Ivanti Patch for Windows Servers (05-09-2018) because some updates are only available from the Adobe ftp server.
This makes no sense since the product is being listed as a missing patch and Shavlik protect is setup to download these updates from them. Anyways, I w2as able to download it, but I need to know where to place it so that I can then get the systems to install it. It will not cause it still believe its needed to download.
Adobe can either upload to their FTP site, or their HTTP site. When an adobe update is first released, it's often uploaded to the FTP site first, so we use that site when we release our content.
For example, QAR11018 downloads from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.18/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11018.msp, yet QAR11017 is available at http://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.17/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11017.msp
It's now available at http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.18/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11018.msp , so we'll probably be updating our data.
Since you've already downloaded it, you can just place it in your patch repository. Be sure to name it AdbeRdrUpd11018.msp so the console can find it. The default patch repository location is C:\ProgramData\Landesk\Shavlik Protect\Console\Patches
The repository location can be double checked from the console under Tools > Operations > Download > Patch download directory
That worked. I also needed an additional file and was able to get it from Adobe and copy it out to the remote server.
Do you know when you will be changing your data?
I am unable to publish any of the latest acrobat or reader updates which are rated critical and it will take us sometime to get the ftp sites allowed via the proxies.
This was fixed in yesterday's XML release for Shavlik Protect, and will be fixed in today's catalog release for Shavlik Patch
