    Windows10x64Professional1607.iso returned 9999

    Rookie

Has anyone received this error when trying to deploy the Windows 10 1607 (Anniversary) update?  Shavlik creates the deployment package but then fails.  Ideas?

          Hello,

Just making sure you followed this document:  Windows 10 Build 1511, 1607, and 1703 Deployment Support in Protect 9.2+

          Thanks,

Sure did.  I used the same method to deploy 1511 not long ago.  I am not sure what the issue is.  The file is named properly and I see it in the deployment package on the target PC.

            Does this tell you anything:

              Hello,

I'm going to have a Content Team member take a look at this, unfortunately he is not in the office today.  Hopefully we can determine the root cause from the information provided, if not we will need a case.  I'll let you know.

              Thanks,

              Charles

                Hello,

The Content Team would like to know where you downloaded the ISO from, and if possible can we get a copy of it?

                Thanks,

                Charles

                  Charles,

I used the media creation tool from Microsoft Tech Bench. Selected English (United States), Windows 10, 64-bit (x64).  I will e-mail you a link to the file once I have it uploaded somewhere.

                  Thanks,

                  Chris

                    Hello,

OK, great.  You could also use the Landesk FTP server.  It's anonymous and can't be browsed from outside our network.

Download a FTP client of your choice, these instructions will use Filezilla as an example.

Type ftp.landesk.com in the Host field and click Quickconnect.

Navigate to the Incoming folder under Remote Site.

You can upload the files by one of these methods:

Click and drag the file into the Empty Directory area. ( you will not see the file listed after the upload )

Navigate to the file and choose to Upload it. ( you will not see the file listed after the upload )

Let me know the name of the zip file

                    Thanks,

                    Charles

                        Hello,

I've spoken with another customer who was receiving the same error after we made our changes, it turned out to be an issue on their side.  We were able to verify this by having the customer attempt the upgrade by hand.  It failed to upgrade by hand.

If that's not the case here then we will need the following information:

                        • Where did you get your ISO from?  What tool was used?
                        • The contents of the STscript* folder on the root of C:\ of the target machine.
                        • All of the logs from this folder:  C:\Windows\ProPatches\Logs

                        Thanks!

                        Charles
