I do not have power management enabled. I was wondering if there was a way to accomplish this without having the power option feature. All I am looking for is a day and do not need it to the granular minute.
You're limited what you can do remotely due to the remote registry service being disabled, the reboot options for the power management feature would have been your other option. Thinking outside the box, you could install an agent on these machine and set it up to scan and deployment each week at a specific time. You may need to create a customer patch that shows missing with each though. Other than that, I can't thinking of any other method in Protect.
I accomplish something like this by using a custom deployment template. In the Post-Deploy Reboot tab, I have set "Schedule Reboot" to "On the next occurence of specified time" set to 3am. I run most of my patches by having machines in specific machine groups for a specific day starting at 1200am. That gives 3 hours for them to patch and then they will reboot at 3am, or if it takes too long, they will reboot the next day at 3am.
With this as an example, if you ran your patches starting Friday at 3:01AM you would get a reboot either Saturday, Sunday or even Monday morning at 3am.
