    Scaning Entire Network

    Rookie

      Hi

I am scanning "Entire Network" in machine group , but  scan couldn't identify any machine. on Scan it indicates (Attempted:0 Resolved:0 Failed:0) with error 'EntireNetwork' () in Machine Group 'Entire Network' failed because: 'Failed to enumerate 'EntireNetwork''.

It used to work fine and suddenly now it is not working. Any suggestion?

      Thanks

          Hello,

Are you adding valid Browse Credentials and Admin Credentials to the Machine Group?  You should set them even if they are the same credentials.

The ST.Protect.managed.* log located C:\ProgramData\LANDESK\Shavlik Protect\Logs should help if the credentials don't fix the issue.  What errors do you see?

          Thanks,

          Charles

              Hello,

The scan engine isn't able obtain machines to scan.  Normally, the Entire Network Machine Group will use the computer browse list and if possible AD to enumerate a list of machines to scan.

Is your computer browser service running?

Are you able to scan when not using this Machine Group?

When you say it suddenly stopped working?  What changes did you make on the network or Protect server?  Unless you upgrade Protect, thing like this don't break themselves.

              Thanks,

              Charles

computer browser service is running. Few days ago we applied to patch to machine which has Shavlik. I can scan individual machine, but not "Entire Network"

                  Hello,

If you didn't upgrade then something environmental much be causing the issue.  I can't fathom what that could be at this point.  You could uninstall the patches that were applied or maybe a reboot.

                  Thanks,

                  Charles
