    MS15-121 not detected on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 without first install MS15-115 and MS15-122

      Microsoft November security patch MS15-121 is not detected on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 servers.

      During first analyze patch MS15-115 and MS15-122 are detected and after reboot patch MS15-121 is detected as missing.

       

      Following information found on Microsoft site:

      [1] Note that update 3101746 in MS15-115 and update 301246 MS15-122 are releasing concurrently with update 3081320 in this bulletin, MS15-121. Customers who intend to install all three updates manually on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 should install the updates in the following order: 3101246 first, 3081320 second, and 3101746 third (this is taken care of automatically for customers with automatic updating enabled).

       

      [2] Note that update 3107416 in MS15-115 and update 3101246 in MS15-122 are released concurrently with update 308120 in this bulleting, MS15-121. Customers who intend to install all three updates manually on Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 should install the updates in the following order: 3101246 first, 3101746 second, and 308130 third (this is taken care of automatically for customers with automatic updating enabled).

       

      As you see the order for Windows 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 is DIFFERENT as for Windows 2012.

      Why is shavlik did not found MS15-121 as missing on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 when MS15-115 and MS15-121 are not installed (only after installation and reboot of these two patches).
