Is it possible to install the Protect console on a management workstation rather than having to log into the installed Protect server in order to run scans? If so, is there documentation on this? If not, will this be supported in the future?
Depending on licensing, you should be able to install Protect on the workstation then point the install to a central database where all the console will share template, scan/deployment data etc. You choose which database to use during the install. Keep in mind that the scan and deployment work will be performed from the machine Protect is installed on. We do not offer a console that remotely command Protect.
