We've been using SCUP, but now want to try out Shavlik Patch. During setup it asks to import the WSUS signing cert.
I figured I'd just use the existing one we use for SCUP, but when trying to import it, it's only looking for .pfx file and won't see the .cer file that our WSUS Signing Cert is exported as.
I then re-exported the cert and saving it as a .pfx is not an option.
Is there no way we can use or existing singing cert????'
If you already have a WSUS self signed cert, you can specify a secure connection to the WSUS server in the Shavlik Patch settings, and then you should just be able to click 'Import'.
Otherwise, you could just manually import the cert to the Trusted Publishers and Trusted Root Certification Authorites cert stores. This doc covers more info about this in case it helps:
Creating, exporting, and importing a WSUS self-signed certificate with the Shavlik Patch Plugin
Hope that helps.
