    Custom Action Quesion

    ntuit1 Rookie

Can a custom action be created to remove a folder from a remote computer, for example, C:\BadFolder? If so, how?

Yes, you would just need to create a script that can be pushed out and run that contains the commands to delete a folder.

I believe RD is the command to delete a folder for batch file/command prompt, and there are probably other methods as well. I would suggest searching online for the best method.

          I hope that helps.

Here is an article that shows an example of using custom action to remove a directory. You could use it as a guideline to remove your specific folder in question.

Also note, you can feed in specific CMD syntax into the custom action field and it will pass it to the target. This means you can use CMD remove directory syntax to delete folders/files.

This site has a great outline of CMD syntax.
