    Red X Across Screen

      I'm getting a RED X across my entire shavlik windows after about 10 minutes of use now. Crazy. Anyone else ever seen this? See attached.

          Hi,


          What kind of system resources are you working with on the Protect console system? (i.e. memory, processor)

           

          Generally in the past when we have seen this happen it's due to system resources being maxed out.

           

          Also, if it's a virtual machine make sure that the resources alotted to the VM are not in contention with the resources being used by other VMs.

            Dell Optiplex 990, 8 meg ram, Win7 64-bit. No virtuals.

              Hi,

               

              I am guessing you meant 8 Gig of RAM rather than 8 meg?

               

              Have you tried rebooting the system or restarting the Shavlik Protect console service?

               

              If you check in the application logs for Protect, do you see any errors that stick out, or could you zip and send me the logs?

               

              The logs can be found under:

               

              -Windows 7, 8, 2008, 2012 & Vista: C:\ProgramData\LANDesk\Shavlik Protect\Logs

              -Earlier OS’s:  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LANDesk\Shavlik Protect\Logs
