Has anybody had any issues when applying certain patches to Exchange servers?
We are experieince a problem where a patch starts to install, sets all Exchange services to disabled, plus some other different services and then doesn't complete the install. It's like it hangs there, I have left it for over an hour trying to install a patch.
The only way to get out of it is a manual reboot, which then means a large number of my services are still set to disabled!
Has anybody had similar issues, or is there a best practice guide for patching Exchange servers?
We don't have a guide specifically for patching Exchange, however, the best recommendation I can give is to use a deployment template set to perform a pre-deployment reboot when patching your Exchange servers.
