Typically when you see issues like this it is either the scan template or datafiles causing the issue. What I would do is first go to help>refresh files to ensure you have the most up-to-date datafiles. Once this is completed, run our built in 'Security Patch Scan' against the console machine to see if it detects any missing patches.
If your SQL database is running out of space there are a couple things you can do. Firstly, you can run Database Maintenance under the tools menu, this will give you a mechanism to mass-delete older results. You could also try upgrading your SQL installation to SQL Express 2008 R2 which would give you a maximum DB size of 10GB.
