This article explains how Patch for Windows Server (formerly Shavlik Protect) displays End Of Life (EOL) products and updates.
There is an EOL date for every patch and many times the date will have been passed already. Such as:
This indicates the vendor has marked this update as EOL or the product it updates is EOL by the vendor. Availability of the patches depends on whether the vendor keep them available. As long as the products and patches are available by the vendor they will be supported through Patch for Windows Server. We have only added that information for the end users benefit. If a patch is no longer available the download link is usually pulled and at that time it will no longer be available to be deployed but the scan information will stay in Patch for Windows Server.
