Removing a Console from Protect Cloud

    This document outlines the process of unregistering a Protect console from a given Protect Cloud account




    To unregister a console, you have 3 options:


    Option 1


    Unregister from the console. To do this, you need to be logged in as the user that originally created the Protect Cloud credentials.


         1. Navigate to Tools > Operations > Protect Cloud Sync

         2. Select "Unregister and delete all my data"



    If you're not logged in as the user that created the Cloud account credentials, or the credentials are incorrect, you'll receive this message:

    "The provided Protect Cloud account could not be authenticated. Verify the selected credential is currently valid with the Protect Cloud"

    If you get this error, and you know the login information for this Protect Cloud account, continue to Option 2.


    If you don't know the login information, you'll need whoever owns the credential set to login and try to unregister. You can check the credential owner by heading to Manage > Credentials, then finding the credentials used, and checking the "Shared Credential Creator".  The username will always be an email address.


    Option 2


         1. Navigate to and login to the Cloud account.

         2. Under registered consoles, find the console you want to remove, and select "Unregister Console".



    Option 3


    If you can't login to the Cloud account, don't have access to the Cloud email, and the person who created the credentials is gone, then Shavlik Support will need to change the email associated with the Protect Cloud account.
