Protect 9.0 Doesn't Scan after October 19th, 2016

    Symptoms

     

    When scanning a machine, Protect 9.0 completes very quickly, but no results are available.

    Cause

     

    Protect 9.0 reached End Of Life on October 19th, 2016 as is mentioned in this document Protect 9.0 Will Cease To Function on October 19th, 2016. Protect 9.0 consoles will not be able to scan for patches. You can attempt to launch the task, but the scan will not occur. You can still deploy patches.

     

    Resolution

     

    Upgrade Protect 9.0 to the current version of Protect. The most recent version can be found here: http://www.shavlik.com/support/protect/downloads/
