This document will describe how to resolve a common error when running the Console Clean Up ITScript feature mentioned in this document How To: Clean Up Your Patch Repository Using ITscripts
You run the Console Clean Up ITScript and receive the following error:
- Error: A command that prompts the user failed because the host program or the command type does not support user interaction.
You will receive this error if there is a sub-directory in your patch repository that meets the criteria of the ITScript settings to be deleted. For instance, if you set your ITScript to delete deployment files that are over 90 days old and the sub-directory in your patch repository is over 90 days old then the ITScript will attempt to delete the sub-directory and fail with the error above.
1) Find the location of your patch repository by navigating to Tools > Operations > Downloads in your console. The patch repository will be listed under Patch download directory.
2) Navigate to your patch repository location and remove any sub-directories from the repository.
3. Re-run the Console Clean Up ITScript. The ITScript should now execute successfully without errors.
