The purpose of this document is to show how to force an Empower Windows Agent to check-in outside of the scheduled time period or update its binaries.
The ability to check-in outside of the scheduled time period can be useful for obtaining scan and patching results on demand without having to change the agent policy. And the ability to update the agent binaries can be useful for resolving discrepancies between your agent and the Empower cloud.
1. On your agent machine open Windows Explorer or a command prompt and navigate to C:\Program Files(x86)\LANDESK\Shavlik Empower Agent.
2. Run the STUILauncher executable as administrator. A Shavlik Empower Agent Framework Status window will appear showing your agent expiration and most recent check-in date and time.
3. Click on Check-in now to check-in with the Empower cloud or click Check for updated binaries to update your agent binaries. After updating, the most recent check-in time and current binaries will show in the Shavlik Empower Agent Framework Status window.
