Shavlik Protect attempts to send an email notification after a Scan, Deployment or from Scheduled Reports, but the email containing the report is never sent.
This issue is identified through the Protect server's Event Logs:
The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated

- Verify the email server allows SMTP relay traffic
- Verify the email server allows authentication from the Protect Server IP Address.
