The purpose of this document is to outline a solution to resolve this error.
- Deploying patches to a target machine fails.
- ST.Protect.managed log shows: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '\\IPAdress\ShareName\Windows\ProPatches\Staged\2015-12-04-T-17-21-00' is denied.
There is a defect in Protect 9.2.x causing Protect to attempt to use the share folder instead of C$. The account used in the scan/deployment doesn't have sufficient permissions on the C:\ share.
This issue is corrected in Protect 9.2 build 5046.
