How Does the Scheduled Time Work on the Deployment task?

Version 8

    Purpose

This document explains how the scheduled time works when you are using it on the deployment task. This document should help clarify if the task is running on a local time or a target machine's time.

    Resolution

There are two kinds of situations:

    1. The time scheduled is more than 24 hours.

The deployment task will be run at the local time zone. So you would need to calculate the target machine's time before you start this task.

    Eg:

Local time zone is: GMT +8

Target machien time zone is: GMT+0

There will be 8 hours gap and you need to calculate before you start the task. Otherwise the machine may need restart while the end user are actually doing their work.

    2. The time scheduled is within 24 hours.

As the below screenshot shows, the task will be ran depending on the time zone of the target machine.
