Error Code 806 – Unable to Mount Volume

    When attempting to run a scan or deployment operation on hosted offline virtual machines you receive the error “Error Code 806 – Unable to mount volume (24307)”.




    The status code (24307) indicates that there is a problem with the VDDK driver within the Protect Console.



    Since this driver is packaged within the Protect Console the resolution is to uninstall and reinstall the Protect Console. As all of the information related to your Protect installation, such as Machine Groups, Administrative Credentials, Patch Groups, etc., are stored within the database, performing a reinstallation of the Protect Console will not affect this data.
