Patch Package That Requires Reboot Fails After Reboot

    Patch packages that requires reboot fails after the scheduled reboot.  Information event under Setup in  Windows Event Viewer shows that the package has been installed but needs a reboot.  After server is rebooted, the event viewer displays another information event that says the the "Package KB failed to be changed to the install state  0x8007005". A customer that uses McAfee reported the error "Blocked by Access Protection rule NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM C:\Windows\System32\poqexec.exe" in the log AccessProtectionLog.txt



    0x8007005 is a ACCESS DENIED error.  This error can be caused by third-party security programs such as firewalls and anti-virus software. Disable Anti-Virus on the target device before patch deployment.
